Remembrance is a french Funeral Doom/Death Metal band.. The band was created in June 2004 by Matthieu and Carline (both are members of the Gothic/Atmospheric Doom band Lethian Dreams). In March 2005 the band released an ep with 4 songs – "Among Lost Illusions" and signed with Totalrust Music for releasing their full debut album. Remembrance's music is very slow, thick sounding, heavy and ultra depressing Funeral Doom/Death Metal. What makes Remembrance so special is their unique and perfect combination between the heavier parts [heavy guitar sound ,deep grunts…] and their unique peaceful moments that sometimes sound almost pleasant…[melancholic keyboards, mournful female backing vocals…]. This combination has an excellent balance - It creates a really varied sound that manages to be really heavy and powerful, but at the same time also extremely depressive… Remembrance is working now on their full debut album which will be released later this year by Totalrust Music.
